MondayLove: Romeo & Juliet by the Hudson Warehouse, NY

Monday’s love is inspired by Romeo & Juliet, as adapted by Joe Hamel and the Hudson Warehouse, in NY.  The play was outdoors in a beautiful spot by the Riverside Park which made the whole thing even more romantic…This part of the dialogue between Romeo and Juliet is what drew my attention:

Amanda Ochoa and George K. Wells
Amanda Ochoa, Juliet George K. Wells, Romeo

Juliet: O, swear not by the moon, the inconstant moon, who monthly changes in her circled orb, lest that thy love prove likewise variable.

Romeo: What shall I swear by?

Juliet: Do not swear at all. Or, if thou wilt, swear by thy gracious self, which is the god of my idolatry, and I’ll believe thee.

Beautiful words that still transcend time and space. Enjoy!
