Happy New Moon!
At 2:35 pm PST today, we have the New Moon in Pisces exactly between Neptune and Chiron, both in Pisces. Even though a New Moon signals new cycles, in this case we are also at the end of the annual cycle, Pisces being the last sign of the zodiac.
There are two ways I would like you to work with the incoming energies today:
First, consider what is in a new phase, or about to start a new cycle in your life right now; be it a work project, a relationship (or phase of a relationship), a new health regimen, a boot camp class you signed up for, a new book, etc.
Then, consider what is coming to an end, or to a natural conclusion at this time? If we calculate the zodiacal year as March to March (in a simplified way) what have you learned, acquired, became accustomed or attached to, that now is the time to release before you start a new year?
Pisces being the last sign of the zodiac takes on features from all previous signs and thus during its tenure in our lives between Feb 18-Mar 19 2012, it is a good time to practice discernment, what is to be kept and what is to be released, what stands true in our heart and what is imposed by societal norms, what is ours to do and what is others’ business to deal with.
I remember hearing a couple decades ago that “Pisces is the trash can of the zodiac”, which is hard to bear having an amazing double Pisces Mother!
Knowing what I know now though I would comment that Pisces can indeed accumulate certain traits from other signs and because of its incredible sensitivity and emotional container (Pisces and water as one) it has a greater tendency to addictions as a way of coping with world’s demands. Nevertheless, it has also the potential of transmuting those traits to gifts like music and the arts, compassion and deep love, spiritual connection to a greater reality which in turn can nurture and transform the world.
We are bathing heavily in Piscean waters today; take some time to enjoy the swim, to look around, and to reflect on the above assignment!
