A powerful day today, following a New Moon in Aquarius and initiating the Chinese New Year of the Wood Horse. We are definitely entering a new cycle of inspiration, pioneering, and advancing in our goals and dreams of making a difference in this world.
From the western astrological perspective, I would like to focus on two aspects that are happening today and add to the energetic shift; Jupiter opposing Pluto and Venus turning direct.
Jupiter currently in Cancer is opposing Pluto in Capricorn. This is the second time they are in opposition, the first was back in August 7, 2013. What was sparked, initiated or perhaps entered your awareness back then?
Jupiter in Cancer introduces a greater sensitivity to people, situations and your environment. Pluto in Capricorn brings in a constant questioning, or probing of what needs to change, what needs to be let go of, what must die so that something more essential can be born.
Reflecting back to August last year, what has been a theme(s) that is either still nagging you, is now re-entering your world, or has come to completion?
Now, Venus entered Capricorn on November 5, 2013, turned retrograde on December 21, 2013 and today turns direct again. Venus represents our values, self-worth, what we hold dear in our hearts and strive towards, what and who we love unconditionally.
Venus in the earth sign of Capricorn has been supporting Pluto’s regenerative power by probing the questions of what we truly value, what is of essence and what and how do we want to feel in our daily life so that we are fulfilled and inspired. Not simple questions and they may have caused great frustration, stress and disappointment. When in retro motion, we are challenged to look under the surface to our ideals (and ethics) and acknowledge what is not working any more.
Yet, today we are asked to observe what we have learned about ourselves, what we are willing to now let go of and what we are inspired to take on. With Jupiter’s influence we are asked to acknowledge what we have come to appreciate and respect in ourselves, how we regard our intuition and perhaps what we still blame on others or beat up ourselves about.
Many people choose to live in what is familiar, even if it is unhealthy, out of fear of the unknown and of losing control. Yet, Pluto’s influence is focusing on breaking down what is unhealthy even if nothing else is in place yet. And Venus’s influence is about the choice of trusting, tuning in and taking one step at a time towards what is true, joyful and beautiful.
We are in the starting point of a new creative cycle, one that is fueled by the power of the wood horse who knows nothing of fear, restriction, or obstacles. What will you choose to create and manifest? Where will you gallop towards if the horizon is totally and widely open? Who and what will you take along for the ride?
