Chocolate Kiss, A Poem

One of the poems I wrote while traveling the West Coast of Scotland is featured on the “poetry map of Scotland,” an initiative that was started by the StAnza International Poetry Festival last year.

Chocolate Kiss

Chocolate kiss,
Feels funny
Writing this.

My mouth, filled with
Sweet cocoa and cream
Chocolate brownie and cream
Chocolate fish which
I can dip in the cream.

And the only thing
I can think
Is how to kiss you
With a mouth full
Of chocolate and cream.

Love comes through
The senses;
That’s great when
All there is, is
Chocolate and cream
And the endless combinations
You can make
When you kiss.
